A new grandson

Welcome to Nathaniel Jack, 7lb 2oz born 4th November.  All doing well, if somewhat tired!  He is lovely (of course) would love to post a picture of him and his sister Evie (15 months old) but my daughter does not want their photographs all over the internet - shame but I understand her reasoning.  So just believe me when I say they are both adorable.

Here is the card I made for him (actually it was a kit I bought at Harrogate show) but I put it together with love.

I also made him a couple of things at an Art From The Heart class.

Plus a little book to put lots of photographs in

This was my first attempt at Decopatch - I really enjoyed it and have put it on my list for Santa!!

I put everything in a set of Humpty Dumpty file boxes I picked up at Home Sense a little while ago.

A few cards

At last I seem to be finding my 'mojo' or some such thing!

Here are a few of the cards that I have completed over the last couple of days.  I think I now have about four left to make before I have all the birthday cards etc that I need for the rest of the year.  Christmas excluded of course - Christmas, now that is something I should really try and get my head around!

I am hoping that this posting is the start of many more and that I am getting back on track.

Papers from Nitwits

I really like the rubber stamps from
   Lili of the Valley

Not sure where this decoupage paper came
from - I am afraid the photograph does not do it justice.  It is very 'blingy' - with each flower having a little sparkle.

Yes - I am still here

This has been a quiet year on the crafting front - I have been recently diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease - as you can imagine, I was devastated.  Still cannot believe it some days but life goes on and I do not know how long I will be able to craft etc so I am slowly trying to get back into the right frame of mind.  Some days that is extremely hard but I do not want to waste the present - I can more or less do everything that I want to do - so come on Anne get cracking!

I started this cardigan for Evie way back in January - but at last I have finished it (well all except the buttons which I gave to my daughter to sew on).

Starbook with Dyan

I had a good day yesterday at Art From The Heart, we made a starbook (yes I know another one) with Graphic 45's Kraft Reflections Collection.  Very nice.  As usual Dyan had to 'bully' us towards the end of the day but at least we all left with the book made.

Today I have completed it and put all the quotes either on a tag or in the book.  Thanks Dyan a good day was had by us all.

To my friend Angela - wish you could have been there - I went with my sister Lynn - who loved it.

Asked Dyan if she was surprised to see you at her class in the States - as you can imagine - she said yes.

A peek

A quick peek at some of the papers I bought yesterday at Art From The Heart - they should feature in the coming weeks - oh alright then - months!!

A peek

Bought these yesterday at Art From The Heart - they should feature in the coming weeks - well alright then - months!

A few tangles I have completed recently

My rather large hand - followed by a 'vision' in blue!

The photograph does not do justice to this tangle - it is heavily highlighted in silver and really looks quite good.

So that is all my tangles up to date.

How bad am I?

I cannot believe it is so long since I posted anything.  I have completed a few tangles but that is all and I haven't taken any photographs as yet.  I am hoping to 'play with my toys' on Sunday, fingers crossed.

Stamps - now a girl can never have enough!

A few more bits and pieces to add to my collection - bet I still  don't have enough yet!

But I do need to re-fill the purse first!

A Digi Stamp Card

Now I know that you experienced crafters know all about digital stamps - but it is a new discovery for me!

The digi stamp is from Mo's Digital Pencil and the idea for the card is from http://catchmecrafting.blogspot.co.uk.  Many thanks.

I love this tramp and I plan to use him several times in the coming months.

I also bought the 'housework fairy' and have great plans for her!!

My Easter projects

We were away in the caravan over Easter and I couldn't decide what to take with me.  Should I start my Christmas cards (the time will soon pass) or what ..........................  I decided to be very brave and take several unfinished items.  So I feel to have had quite a 'satisfaction boost'.  The first project was a Wizard of Oz star book that I started last year at Art From The Heart - it is now completed and I really like it.  Hubby said 'what are you going to do with it now?'  he looked slightly bemused when I said 'just look at it'.  Oh well, I cannot understand him sitting for hours fishing!

A few of the tags

In a few weeks time we are off to see three of our grandchildren who live in Canada.  I have made the two girls (5 and nearly 3) little colouring books.  As well as being something personal it also gave me the chance to use up several sheets of 12 x 12 - that I should never have bought and hardly ever use.

I have done quite a lot of stamping for them to colour but also there is lots of 'white space' for them to do there own thing - hope they like them.  Problem is should I do one for big brother (8) may have to buy a few 'boy' stamps first.

A small selection of the pages

The back page has a little pocket which holds a small envelope for their special things.

I may add some more pages or put in some doodling - time will tell.

I also found time over the holiday break to 'almost' finish a mini Christmas book - also from a class at AFTH last year.  I have taken a couple of snaps but it still needs a few more additions before I can class it as finished - may be in time for this Christmas!

I also did some knitting for our youngest granddaughter but that is a long off being finished.  I even found time for a couple of doodles and even finished one -

I should now get back to my card making regime - another month and I will have caught up with myself - must start cracking the whip!  I have also to start Day 3 of Tim Holz' on line class - at least I won't have to wonder what I am going to do next!  Has anyone a few spare hours they could let me have!

So all in all I had a very good Easter break which helped to make up for the rubbish weather.  Hope you all had a good time.
